Quosse Qui S'Brasse?

Hi -- here is the first of my posts from Dieppe, New Brunswick as I attend and film at Congrés Mondial Acadien! My first day of shooting was yesterday at Place 1604 in downtown Dieppe, the official CMA 2019 National Acadia Day celebration. The video is a short compilation of scenes from the tintamarre -- a uniquely Acadian way of expressing pride and joy in their heritage. As my mother said to me, the tintamarre is a way to tell the world that the Acadian people are "still here."

Tomorrow, I am attending the Fête des LeBlanc 2019. I am a LeBlanc and I am so excited to go and meet all my cousins and celebrate my Acadian heritage with them.

I hope to do another video tomorrow night to share my experience with you.

Thanks to all of you who have supported me in any way. I'm having the time of my life and getting so much more than just footage for my film. I'm gaining a deeper understanding of the strength and resilience of my ancestors. And I'm also refining my ideas of what I want my documentary to be...

My heart is full and my head is full of ideas. And, again, I thank you all for your support.

Vive l'Acadie!
